Staff crunch in varsities hitting rankings-research work

According to the recently released NIRF rankings, only two out of the 20 state universities in India have made it to the top 100. Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak secured the 96th position, while Chaudhary Charan Singh Agriculture University (CCSAU) Hisar ranked 99th. The shortage of teaching staff is cited as a significant factor contributing to the lower rankings of state universities.
