Charmie Kapoor’s decision to leave her 9-to-5 after nearly a decade has prompted reflection on ambition, identity and the meaning of success. Without a regular salary or corporate routine, she explored personal projects, creative work, exercise and entrepreneurship. Influenced by nihilism, existentialism and absurdism, Kapoor says her understanding of purpose is evolving. Even after receiving an opportunity from a leading startup, she chose to continue building independently, finding greater happiness in balancing achievement with contentment and freedom.
